I have worked in the catering industry for over 25 years and have had several restaurants worldwide. When I arrived in South Africa in 2006, I opened Fork restaurant in Cape Town and I was looking for a carpenter to build some wooden booths. That was the first time I met Philip Goode. Philip made me exactly what I wanted, delivered it on time and after 6 years they are still in great condition.

Then in April 2010 I decided to build, from scratch, Knife restaurant in an empty 400sq/m site in the Crystal Towers hotel, Century City, Cape Town. It was a huge project to undertake and as I was impressed with Philip, I asked him to be my Project Manager. The cost to build Knife was over R5 million.

Philip worked round the clock to meet all his targets, controlled all the expenses and delivered me exactly what I wanted on time and within budget.

I cannot recommend Philip highly enough. The best compliment I could give to Philip is if I were to build another restaurant, I would only do it if Philip was my Project Manager.

Timber Tech recently carried out a large contract on my home installing 150 square metres of decking for which part of the deck was very technical with a 10 m vertical cliff face.

Philip designed a cantilever sub-structure then brought in specialised scaffolding and carried our work on this section in a very safe and professional manner.

The finished result was of the highest quality.

I highly recommend Philip Goode. Every aspect of the specification was covered without cutting any corners whatsoever. He was meticulous and very knowledgeable in helping on many other situations I faced during a major renovation to my home.
